About me
Richard Baugh is an exercise physiologist whose passion for fitness has fueled his professional career. Richard has spent the last ten years building a career in the field of fitness. He has worked with companies like the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Piedmont Hospital, The League for People with Disabilities and WTS International.
Richard was born into a military family and traveled extensively due to his father’s military career. He has one brother, who is seven years, his junior. Both he and his brother experienced the pros and cons of military travel. While it was difficult leaving friends, when relocating, living and traveling in Europe for three years was a worth-while experience.
At an early age, Richard developed a passion for sports and physical activity. Growing up watching his parents and others enjoying organized sports and other physical leisure activities made it easy to adopt the same lifestyle. Richard’s participation in organized sports continued through High School.
After High School, Richard started his career in wellness while pursuing a degree in Exercise Science from Georgia State University. He worked as a rehabilitation technician, lifeguard and fitness specialist, while earning his degree. He also found time to meet his future wife while lifeguarding for the YMCA.
Currently, Richard lives in Atlanta with his wife and three young boys. Richard’s family has been connected to the Atlanta area for 25 years and he now considers this home.
